Historia de la Erótica
“El objetivo inicial de esta web es revisar de manera enciclopédica la visión general «oficial» del arte, La línea que voy a seguir enfoca el desnudo, el erotismo –incluso la pornografía–, donde se pueda mascar y sentir un ambiente artístico más humano, más íntimo, mas cercano al artista y a sus ojos, con unas biografías que incidirán en «otros aspectos» que intenten aclararnos la personalidad de los maestros, sus gustos, y sus evoluciones en el tiempo. Voy a solicitarles ayuda, me resulta imposible abarcar todo el desnudo y erotismo incluido en el arte. Cuando empecé, creí que podría ser una línea más para explicar el arte, pero según avanzo veo mas claro que no se trata de una línea más, sino de su esencia misma.

El alma de la explicación debería consistir en cómo abraza los demás géneros y cómo puede llegar a englobarlos. Es fácil encontrar paisajes, pero con un desnudo, o retratos al desnudo, hay motivos géneros o subgéneros –como el bodegón–, adonde es fácil encontrar un modelo desnudo sujetando, ofreciendo y compitiendo con una cesta de frutas...”
Tal el texto de la página de inicio de Anarkasis, un sitio donde la imagen hace historia y habla por sí misma. Porque, es sabido, la elocuencia de la imagen –en ésta, la era por excelencia de la imagen–, dice más que mil palabras.
Un excelente aporte a la historia del erotismo o al erotismo en la historia, mantenida con dedicación y con la suficiente humildad por alguien que después de semejante esfuerzo es capaz de escribir: “apelo a su sensibilidad, en cualquier caso envíenme un mail”.
Y también, como nosotros, empezar a pasar la gorra –“(Un patrocinador sería muy bien venido y mejor tratado)”, escribe quien mantiene Anarkasis –, que lo que mueve al mundo son los dineros, estimados lectores. Por lo demás, les recomiendo darse una vuelta y echar una ojeada.

This, combined with her large breasts and the roundness of her stomach, suggests that the "subject" of the sculpture is female procreativity and nurture and the piece has long been identified as some sort of fertility idol. The fact that numerous examples like that of a female figure.
